NEW ORLEANS – Becker’s Healthcare has recognized Ochsner Health System on its 2014 list of “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.”
Each year, Becker’s Healthcare develops their top 150 list through research and nominations, organizations evaluated on their benefits, workplace culture, professional development opportunities and previous recognition for workplace excellence. The resulting list is a compilation of 150 healthcare organizations that go above and beyond for their employees and are great places to work.
In just the past year alone, Ochsner, which employs more than 14,000 employees, has implemented system-wide employee focused events and local employee recognition and engagement strategies at each campus, contributing to its employee and leader engagement scores surpassing the national healthcare industry average for percentage of employees and leaders “actively engaged.” Ochsner’s commitment to its employees has also been further demonstrated through its recognition of being named to the New Orleans CityBusiness “Best Places to Work” list every year since 2005, in addition to being named to the AARP’s “Best Employers for Workers over 50” list for the fifth time in 2013.
Several other well-known organizations recognized on this list included the following:
- Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston)
