
Scott J. Posecai
Executive Vice President, Insurance Partnerships and Treasurer, Ochsner Health
Scott J. Posecai is the executive vice president, insurance partnerships and treasurer for Ochsner Health. In November 2021, he also was appointed to lead Ochsner Health Network, Louisiana’s largest clinically integrated network, continuing its successful focus on risk-based and value-based care delivery models. He also leads the Ochsner Accountable Care Network, now one of the nation’s top two large accountable care organizations, with more than 420,000 lives covered under these value-based contracts.
Posecai joined Ochsner Clinic in 1987 and was named chief financial officer in 1995, a role he held until the merger of Ochsner Clinic and the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in 2001. Upon the merger, he was named chief financial officer of Ochsner Clinic Foundation and assumed the treasurer role in 2018. Effective Jan. 1, 2021, he transitioned into a new role as executive vice president, insurance partnerships and treasurer. He maintains his responsibilities as Treasurer that include Capital Financing, Investment Portfolio Administration, Banking and Tax. His new responsibilities include setting the System’s strategy and execution plan for the Ochsner Health Plan and Ochsner’s continued investments in insurance product joint ventures and global financial risk arrangements with insurers.
Posecai is responsible for the Ochsner Health Plan, Insurance Partnerships, Ochsner Health Network Financial Operations, Managed Care Contracting and Treasury. Posecai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to joining Ochsner, he held positions in Accounting, Treasury and International Tax in the Oil and Gas Industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was named Alumnus of the Year for 2004 by the University of New Orleans, College of Business.
