Ochsner Health Announces Teacher Vaccination Days in New Orleans, Northshore, Bayou and Baton Rouge Areas

Ochsner Health’s Safe Return to School and School Health Programs are pleased to announce teacher vaccination days, with weekend and extended hour appointments now available, across southeast Louisiana. Beginning this week, teachers can sign up to receive their COVID-19 vaccination at a location of their choosing with convenient weekend and afternoon appointments available.

“Our Classroom Heroes have done an incredible job keeping our school communities safe throughout the pandemic under challenging circumstances,” said Dr. William Lennarz, System Chair of Pediatrics, Ochsner Hospital for Children. “The COVID-19 vaccine represents hope and we want to do everything we can to quickly vaccinate our teachers and school staff to keep them, students and our community safe.”

HOW TEACHERS AND SCHOOL STAFF CAN SIGN UP:

  • Existing MyOchsner users can log on to schedule.
    • If you would like to setup a MyOchsner account, please visit myochsner.org.
  • Call 844-888-2772.
    • Ochsner’s call center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • When registering, please select “Teacher or support staff (K-12 or daycare) so you are able to see the extended hours and weekend appointments offered to teachers and school staff.

Greater New Orleans:

  • Metairie (Shrine on Airline): Saturday, March 6 (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

Northshore:

  • Covington: Saturday, March 6 (9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
  • Slidell: Friday, March 5 (4 p.m. – 5 p.m.) and Saturday, March 6 (8 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

Baton Rouge:

  • O’Neal: Wednesday, March 3 (3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.) and Friday, March 5 (3 p.m. -5 p.m.)

Bayou and River Regions:

  • St. Anne: Saturday, March 6 (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Chabert: Saturday, March 6 (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • St. Mary: Saturday, March 6 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
  • St. John: Friday, March 5 (3 p.m. – 8 p.m.)
