Ochsner Clinics, Urgent Care, Elective Procedures and Community Testing to Close at Noon Today Due to Hurricane Zeta

All Hospitals and Emergency Departments Remain Open

Due to the expected impact from Hurricane Zeta, Ochsner Health will cancel elective procedures and close outpatient healthcare facilities including Ochsner Health Centers, Ochsner Urgent Care clinics, Ochsner Therapy & Wellness Centers, Retail Pharmacy and Vision and Fitness Centers at 12 p.m. today, Wednesday, October 28 in the following parishes and counties: Jefferson, Orleans, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, St. Charles, Terrebonne, St. Mary and Hancock County, MS. These facilities plan to resume normal operating hours on Thursday, October 29.

The following community COVID-19 testing sites will also close at 12 p.m. today.

  • Mandeville Community Center (9a-12p)
  • St. James West Bank Reception Hall in Vacherie (9a-12p)
  • Terrytown Golden Age Center (closed)

All Ochsner hospitals and emergency departments will remain open.

Patients with scheduled appointments impacted by these closures are being contacted directly to reschedule, but those with questions are urged to visit www.ochsner.org/weather for more information.
