Ochsner Creative Media Services Team Takes Home Four Prestigious Telly Awards

NEW ORLEANS – Ochsner Health System’s Creative Media Department received Silver and three Bronze Awards at the prominent 35th Annual Telly Awards for two videos: “Miracles” and “Addison’s Story.”

Miracles”, a dramatic and inspirational production, highlights six cancer survivors alongside New Orleans artist Walter “Wolfman” Washington as he performs his revamped version of Hot Chocolates’ 1970’s hit “Sexy Thing.”

Addison’s Story” documents the journey of baby Addison Englade’s near death experience in her fight against Neuroblastoma Cancer.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. With over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

The Silver Telly is the highest honor.

The talented Ochsner team consists of Jackson Ellisor, Mika Ferris, James Roe, Jeremy Schroth and Stephen Legendre who won the following awards:

The Telly Awards joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People’s Telly Awards. In addition to recognition from the Silver Telly Council, the judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, the Internet community helps decide the People’s Telly Awards winners.

Entries are evaluated to recognize distinction in creative work and are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly and approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
