Ochsner ‘Super-Sizes’ Pediatric Super-Clinic
BATON ROUGE – In its ongoing effort to enhance pediatric services across the Capital Region, Ochsner Baton Rouge is proud to welcome the experienced pediatric cardiologists at Pediatric Cardiology Associates to the pediatric super-clinic at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove.
Rufus Lester “Les” Hixon, M.D. has more than 30 years’ experience in medicine, including 25 as a pediatric cardiologist in Baton Rouge. Dr. Hixon earned a medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, where he also completed a pediatric internship and residency, as well as a pediatric cardiology fellowship. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
Lauren Haddad, M.D., has worked in Baton Rouge as a pediatric cardiologist since 2014. After earning a medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Haddad completed a three-year pediatric residency followed by a three-year pediatric cardiology fellowship at University of Tennessee. She is board certified in both pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease.
Both Drs. Hixon and Haddad will continue working at local hospitals, as well as seeing patients in Baton Rouge, Gonzales and Hammond.
