Every day at Ochsner, more than 40,000 team members come together for a truly meaningful purpose: to care for our patients, our communities and one another. Serving our patients, strengthening our communities and investing in our people are foundational to everything we do.

In 2024, Ochsner’s nursing strategic focus was on elevating the voice of nurses and ensuring nurses are making a difference and influencing quality, operations, financials, recruitment and retention, and so much more.

As we reflect on all that we achieved at Ochsner Health in 2023, we are immensely grateful and energized for the future. We are proud of the milestones we achieved and the patients and families whose lives we improved. And we are appreciative of the team members, clinicians, communities, partners and supporters who trusted us, and in turn contributed immeasurably to our progress toward a brighter, healthier future. Thank you all for being an essential part of an important year.

Among our many remarkable accomplishments of the year, this report showcases the Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana partnership to launch the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine (XOCOM) to help fulfill the urgent need for more physicians in our state and the country while addressing health disparities in diverse communities. Also featured is our Neuroscience Research Center of Excellence, which is performing incredibly innovative work.
