CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital welcomes OB/GYN Candace Gilmore, MD
LAKE CHARLES, La. – Candace Gilmore, MD, a board-certified OB/GYN, has joined CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital at 4150 Nelson Road, Building G, Suite 2, in Lake Charles.
Dr. Gilmore brings a strong clinical foundation and a community-focused approach to women’s healthcare. She focuses on supporting women through every stage of life from preventive care to pregnancy, while addressing patient access and education for families across southwest Louisiana.
She provides specialized care for conditions such as:
- High-risk pregnancy
- Preeclampsia and pregnancy-related high blood pressure
- Cervical lesions
- Conditions that require hysterectomy and other surgeries
Dr. Gilmore earned a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed a residency at the University of Mississippi. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
