LAKE CHARLES, La. – CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital welcomes Olamide Omidele, MD, a urologist and urologic oncologist who specializes in minimally invasive and robot-assisted care for prostate, kidney and bladder conditions. His office is located on the second floor of Ochsner CHRISTUS Health Center Urology at 401 Dr. Michael Debakey Drive in Lake Charles. He is accepting new patients.
Dr. Omidele’s training supports a more advanced, local cancer program, especially for patients who need minimally invasive options for complex urologic cancers and related conditions, including:
Prostate cancer
Kidney tumors and kidney cancer
Bladder disorders and bladder cancer
Benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH
Upper tract urothelial carcinoma
General urologic conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system
Complex urologic cancers requiring minimally invasive surgical management
Dr. Omidele earned a medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he also completed a urology residency. He completed fellowship training in robotic urologic oncology at Houston Methodist Hospital. A native of Nigeria, he was raised in Katy, Texas, and brings high-level training and his Texas connection to patients in Lake Charles, expanding access to advanced urologic cancer care closer to home.
