Ochsner Baton Rouge expands orthopedics and sports medicine staff
BATON ROUGE, La. – In its ongoing effort to expand services, Ochsner Baton Rouge welcomes several new orthopedic and sports medicine specialists:
Skylar Culmone, PA-C, specializes in orthopedics at Ochsner Therapy & Wellness at Elite Training Complex – Burbank. She offers care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions with clinical interests in fracture management, joint injections and postoperative recovery. Culmone earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Associates and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.
Tina Davis, NP, practices sports medicine at Ochsner Therapy & Wellness at Elite Training Complex – Burbank. She cares for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions. She is experienced with injury evaluations, joint injections and collaborating with physical therapists and orthopedic specialists for rehabilitation planning. After earning a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, Davis completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, women’s health, urgent care and family medicine. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Brooke Nassif, PA-C, practices orthopedic surgery at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. After earning a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, she completed clinical rotations in orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, family medicine, psychiatry, women’s health, dermatology, emergency medicine and internal medicine. Nassif is board-certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
Zachary Person, FNP, specializes in orthopedics at Ochsner Therapy & Wellness at Elite Training Complex – Burbank. He provides advanced care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions. Clinical experience includes independent assessments, injury evaluations, joint injections and rehabilitation planning in collaboration with physical therapists and orthopedic specialists. Prior to his nursing career, he was a professional athlete in the Houston Astros organization, giving him firsthand insight into injury prevention, recovery and performance optimization. Person earned a master’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
