BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Stacy Jones-Pedescleaux, MD, a family medicine physician at Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville, is a winner of UnitedHealthcare’s 2025 United Hero Award for Outstanding Patient Experience.
This national recognition celebrates healthcare providers who consistently deliver highly rated patient experiences while excelling in access to care, communication, care coordination and overall service. The award is presented annually to physicians nationwide and is based on direct patient feedback and honors physicians who prioritize empathy, trust and quality in every interaction.
“This recognition speaks volumes about the kind of care Dr. Jones-Pedescleaux delivers every day,” said Chuck Daigle, CEO of Ochsner Baton Rouge. “It’s a reflection of the trust she builds with her patients, the compassion she brings to each visit, and the standard of excellence we’re proud to uphold across Ochsner Baton Rouge.”
The United Hero Award is based on performance on patient experience surveys administered by a third party that reflect real-life experiences with the healthcare providers and include feedback on the ability to get healthcare, care coordination, and doctor-patient communication.
“It is a privilege to receive the United Hero Award,” Dr. Jones-Pedescleaux says. “The most rewarding part of this work is building trust with patients and helping them feel seen, heard and empowered in their care. This recognition belongs to them, and to the relationships we build together.”
“This award reflects not just Dr. Jones-Pedescleaux’s skill as a physician, but the trust she’s earned in the community over time,” said Dr. William Baird, Associate Medical Director of Primary Care at Ochsner Baton Rouge. “She represents the very best of what we strive for in patient care at Ochsner.”
