Ochsner Baton Rouge welcomes new physicians and providers

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Ochsner Baton Rouge welcomes several new providers: 

  

  • Emilio Fabian Corona, MD, pulmonology and critical care medicine specialist, has joined Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville. He treats conditions such as asthma, obstructive lung disease, restrictive lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis, cystic lung disease, lung cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis and empyema. Dr. Corona earned a medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Rutgers-New Jersey School of Medicine. He also completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Corona is board certified in internal medicine and certified in advanced critical care echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. 

 

  • Adrienne Cesar, NP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner now located at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southern University in Baton Rouge and a master’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. She completed rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health and urgent care. Before joining Ochsner, Cesar worked as a certified critical care registered nurse, specializing in trauma and neurological critical care. She also has experience in intensive care units, including women’s health, burn, surgery and critical care units. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers.  

 

  • Gregory Tobin, MD, now practices radiology at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove with a special interest in musculoskeletal radiology, the safe integration of technology into medicine and how radiological findings change patient management. He earned a medical degree from LSU Shreveport, where he also completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in diagnostic radiology. He completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at University Medical Center through Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Tobin is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society.  

 

  • Jayendra “Jay” Patel, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, has joined Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove and is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding their individual concerns and goals. Dr. Patel earned a medical degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Gujarat, India, and completed a residency in psychiatry at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Medical Association.
