Ochsner Health and Elite Training Academy have opened Elite Training Complex – Burbank, one of the region’s first facilities to publicly offer the latest advancements in sports medicine and performance training. This 65,000-square-foot complex at the intersection of Burbank Drive and Lee Drive is the capital area’s premier destination for athletes of all levels.
This partnership brings together expertise in clinical care and athletic training through world class orthopedic and sports medicine practitioners, and professional sport-specific coaching. This facility is designed to host individuals, families, teams and communities throughout the region. Elite Training Academy’s expertise is gathered from current and former college athletes, professional athletes, coaches and athletic industry specialists who will strengthen all sports-related interests.

The Elite ownership team combines former LSU athletes and business leaders with strong ties to the region. The diverse and experienced team of Ben Bordelon, Brandon Landry, Todd Graves, Sean Reilly, Holden Spaht, Carlos Spaht, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyrann Mathieu, Joe Burrow, Jamal Adams and Greg Stringfellow have a vision of supporting the community with a facility for athletes of all ages through world-class orthopedic and sports medicine practitioners and professional, sport-specific coaching for a comprehensive approach to expert clinical care and athletic training. The facility is open to individuals, families and teams throughout southeast Louisiana.
The facility comprises a 60-yard, full-width indoor football practice facility and two full-size outdoor football fields with plans to host leagues, tournaments and camps in football, soccer and lacrosse, in addition to more sports that will be added. The indoor facility also has a 3,000-square-foot weight room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, hot and cold plunge tubs, and an infrared sauna.
The Ochsner Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute at Elite Training Complex – Burbank is state of the art, providing the latest in injury prevention and treatment techniques shaped by Ochsner’s partnership with world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. It also serves as an orthopedic walk-in clinic offering same day, after hours and weekend treatment for orthopedic and sports related injuries.
