Ochsner Health Center – Breaux Bridge opens with dedication to Burton Dupuis

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. Ochsner St. Martin Hospital celebrates the grand opening of Ochsner Health Center – Breaux Bridge with a dedication to the president of Hospital Service District #2 Burton Dupuis on Friday, March 20. The 6,200 square-foot specialty clinic is located next to the Ochsner St. Martin Hospital campus at 220 Champagne Blvd. in Breaux Bridge and expands access to healthcare for the community and St. Martin Parish by offering a range of specialized medical services.

Expanding healthcare services

The new clinic houses orthopedics and general surgery specialties, with plans to add more specialties in the future. The facility offers top-quality care to patients and provides convenient access to diagnostics and advanced healthcare.

The facility features:

  • Nine exam rooms

  • One treatment room

  • One X-ray room

As president of Hospital Service District #2, Burton Dupuis has focused his work on bringing more healthcare access to Breaux Bridge and St. Martin Parish – including providing financial backing. Funding for the project included a $3 million contribution from Hospital Service District #2, with Ochsner Lafayette General contributing an additional $1 million to support furnishings, essential equipment, technology systems and security enhancements.

“It is truly humbling to see my devotion to this community honored with this dedication,” said Burton Dupuis, president of Hospital Service District #2. “I am proud to see the specialty clinic now open in Breaux Bridge, making high-quality healthcare accessible to all residents of St. Martin Parish.”

Supporting the Breaux Bridge community

The new Specialty Clinic is a continuation of Ochsner St. Martin Hospital's mission to expand and improve care for Breaux Bridge and the surrounding region.

“We are excited that this new clinic brings world-class specialty services right here to the Breaux Bridge community, continuing our commitment to providing exceptional care close to home,” said AVP Nursing and Hospital Administrator Jennifer Vicknair.
