BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Ochsner Health welcomes several new providers to the Baton Rouge region:
M. Tyson Garon, MD, practices orthopedic hand surgery at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. He treats a variety of conditions, including arthritis, cysts, tumors, ligament injuries, overuse conditions, fractures, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome and De Quervain's disease. Dr. Garon earned a medical degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis. He is board certified in orthopedic hand and microvascular surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Association for Hand Surgery, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Louisiana Orthopedic Association.
Julie Neumann, MD, practices orthopedic surgery at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove, treating conditions such as Achilles tendon issues, ligament injuries, fractures, arthritis, rotator cuff injuries, meniscus and ACL injuries, bunions, hammertoes and heel pain spurs. Dr. Neumann earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. She also completed a fellowship in foot and ankle at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Neumann is board certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. She is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Louisiana Orthopedic Association.
Zachary Dawes, DO, practices physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal. He earned a medical degree from the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Dawes is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Spinal Injury Association and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
