Ochsner Health welcomes new providers in family medicine and primary care to Baton Rouge region
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Ochsner Health welcomes several new providers who specialize in primary care as well as comprehensive health care for families to the Baton Rouge region:
Katrece Barber, NP, practices family medicine at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Southern University in Baton Rouge. She completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, women’s health, urgent care, cardiovascular disease and family medicine. Before joining Ochsner, Barber worked as a nurse practitioner in urgent care settings across the Baton Rouge area. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Harsimar Singh, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health Center – Central. He earned a medical degree from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, India, and completed a residency in family medicine at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, Monroe program. Dr. Singh is a member of the America Academy of Family Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Rebecca Lee, DO, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health Center – Tangipahoa, treating a range of medical needs for patients as young as 2 years old, as well as prenatal counseling, women’s health, diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and geriatric health. She earned a medical degree from the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and completed a residency in family medicine at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, Our Lady of Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Prior to medical school, Dr. Lee worked for nine years as a registered dietitian with experience in weight management. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Jennifer Rostafin, NP, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health Center – Prairieville. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut, and a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. She completed clinical rotations in women’s health and pediatrics, along with adolescent, adult and geriatric primary care. Before joining Ochsner, Rostafin worked in post-anesthesia care, intermediate care and intensive care units as a registered nurse. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Desiree Donegan, NP, practices primary care medicine at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Louisiana State University Health and Science Center in New Orleans and a master’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Donegan completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, adolescent and women’s health, urology and family medicine. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners to stay updated on medical advancements. Before joining Ochsner, Donegan worked in pre- and post-operative care, and neonatal intensive care.
Emily Milazzo, PA, provides primary care at Ochsner Health Center – Gonzales. She earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, women’s health, emergency medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and endocrinology. Before joining Ochsner, she worked in urgent care and emergency medicine. Milazzo is board certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Tiffany Everett, PA, specializes in primary care at Ochsner Health Center – O’Neal. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University in New Orleans and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Lincoln Memorial University – Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed clinical rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, infectious disease and emergency medicine. Before joining Ochsner, Everett worked in general surgery, trauma, critical care, urgent care and emergency medicine. She is board certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Mandy Keown, NP, specializes in lifestyle and wellness at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. Keown earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, women’s health and family medicine. Before joining Ochsner, Keown was a nurse practitioner in various skilled nursing facilities and long-term nursing homes in the Lafayette area. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
