Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport - Monroe Medical Center Hosts Well-Women’s Walk-In Day

MONROE, La. – Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Monroe Medical Center will host the Well-Women’s Walk-In Day on Monday, October 26, 2020, at Monroe Medical Center, 4864 Jackson Street. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During the event, women will be able to have mammograms and pap tests without scheduling an appointment.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among American women. In 2019, it made up roughly 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women. The American College of Radiology and Society of Breast Imaging continues to recommend annual mammography beginning at age 40 to save the most lives. Monroe Medical Center encourages all women to get their annual mammograms regardless of family history and is proud to offer this screening event to our community.

Attendees should bring proof of insurance and ID card (date of birth, full SSN, address, phone number). Those in need of financial assistance can contact our financial counselors at 318-330-7807 or 318-330-7046.

Attendees should enter through the main entrance of the Monroe Medical Center.
