Ochsner LSU Health to host health fair at Spring Lake clinic

SHREVEPORT, La. – Ochsner LSU Health – Spring Lake invites community members to a summer health fair on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will provide easy access to essential health services and screenings, giving everyone the opportunity to know their numbers and take charge of their health. The Spring Lake Clinic is located at 8445 Line Avenue, in Shreveport.   
 

Ochsner LSU Health team members will be onsite providing a variety of health screenings and services, to include: 

  • Blood pressure checks 

  • A1C testing for managing diabetes 

  • Diabetic eye camera screenings (identifies diabetic retinopathy) 

  • Mammograms 

  • Various cancer screenings 

  • Cervical self-swabs (HPV testing) 

  • Colonoscopy scheduling 

  • Cologuard® sign-up (noninvasive colon cancer screening) 

  • Enhanced wellness visits with an Ochsner LSU Health provider for Medicare patients 

  

Many of the available services are free of charge, while others will be billed to the participants’ insurance plans. Giveaways throughout the day will add an element of fun and ensure attendees leave with both health knowledge and memorable takeaways.
