Ochsner names Quentin Alleva, MD, Baton Rouge regional medical director

BATON ROUGE, La. – Ochsner Baton Rouge is proud to announce that Quentin Alleva, MD, has been named regional medical director, effective June 30. In this role, Dr. Alleva will provide medical staff leadership and support provider engagement and growth — while advancing quality and excellence in patient care across the region. 

Dr. Alleva joined Ochsner Baton Rouge as a staff radiologist in 2008 at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. Since 2012, he has served as regional chair of radiology. In 2018, he was named associate medical director of medical specialties for the Baton Rouge region.

After earning his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Alleva completed an internship and residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. He went on to complete a fellowship in body imaging at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and is certified through the American Board of Radiology.

“Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptionally talented and dedicated team. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation rooted in quality, collaboration and patient-centered care. I’m excited to help lead our next chapter as we expand access and continue meeting the evolving needs of our community,” said Dr. Alleva. “It’s an honor and privilege to take on this role.”

Dr. Alleva is also a graduate of the Louisiana Hospital Association Physician Leadership Academy series as well as the Ochsner Leadership Institute Physician Administrative Leadership Program and Emerging Physician Leader Program.
