Physician brings nearly a decade of experience in primary care to Pensacola

Ochsner Novant Health 65 Plus – Bellview welcomes Brandon M. McElroy, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. McElroy comes to Pensacola, Florida from Permanente Medical Group Mid-Atlantic States in Virginia.

“I enjoy caring for my patients and working with them to create an individualized plan to proactively address health issues and work toward health goals,” Dr. McElroy said. “My ultimate goal is for them to live life to the fullest.”

After earning his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Dr. McElroy completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He began his career journey in primary care at Beauford Memorial Hospital in South Carolina before spending six years with Permanente Medical Group Mid-Atlantic States in the Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia region where he also served as assistant service chief.

The U.S. Census Bureau projects that by 2034 older adults will outnumber children for the first time in U.S. history. For Pensacola, the most recent U.S. Census Bureau data indicates that 21% of the population is 65 years and older, which is above the growing national percentage.
