Ochsner Novant Health 65 Plus – Okatie welcomes Kenneth H. Tomczyk, DO, a board-certified physician with 18 years of family medicine experience. Dr. Tomczyk comes to Okatie from Geisinger 65 Forward in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  

“Caring for seniors starts with really listening and understanding their healthcare goals,” Dr. Tomczyk said. “I enjoy personally connecting with my patients so we can work together to address health concerns and achieve their health goals. I ensure every patient knows about and thoroughly understands the wide range of choices they have in pursuing overall health and well-being.” 

After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Penn., Dr. Tomczyk practiced across Pennsylvania including at St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and Geisinger Health System.  

The U.S. Census Bureau projects that by 2034 older adults will outnumber children for the first time in U.S. history. For Jasper County, the most recent Census Bureau data indicates that a quarter of the population is 65 years and older.
