LULING, La. – St. Charles Parish Hospital, Ochsner Health and Dow will offer no-cost family health services and resources on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Killona Community Center, 201 LA Highway 3141. Open to the public, services will include health screenings and education, as well as a grocery distribution with fresh food options while supplies last.

The Health and Wellness Family Expo in Killona is designed to meet families where they live and will offer a comprehensive lineup of health screenings including blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. In addition to wellness services and while supplies last, a Second Harvest food distribution will help families prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

“Ochsner and St. Charles Parish Hospital are pleased to collaborate with Dow and St. Charles Parish government to bring healthcare services and education to the local community,” said Abdul Khan, MD, CEO of Ochsner River Region. “When local organizations and businesses come together, we can make real, lasting improvements in the health and well-being of our local families.”

“Our goal at Dow is to serve the individuals and families in the communities where we live and work,” said Jason Lankford, Dow St. Charles Operations Site Leader. “Working with these committed partners, we are honored to offer immediate and comprehensive access to healthcare screenings and information to meet the health needs of our community.”

Ochsner’s outreach efforts are shaped by the needs and voices of the communities it serves. Its Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) helps identify priorities such as access to care, health education, behavioral and mental health services, and economic opportunity. Reflecting a commitment to advancing healthier, more active lives across the region, the family expo is also made possible by St. Charles Parish government.

“Advancing access to health care is a priority of St. Charles Parish government and the Killona Health and Wellness Family Expo is a pathway,” said La Sandra D. Wilson, St. Charles Parish Councilwoman, Division I. “We appreciate and support this and future hands-on important healthcare investment in the neighborhoods, communities and families of St. Charles Parish.”
