LULING, La.St. Charles Parish Hospital (SCPH) has been named to the 2023 edition of the “Great Community Hospitals” list by Becker's Hospital Review, a leading healthcare publication.

The "Great Community Hospitals" list celebrates hospitals' dedication to optimizing Healthcare. Community Hospitals on the list are known for clinical excellence, compassionate care, economic impact on their communities and more. The hospitals are leaders who show above-and-beyond commitment to their communities. Their expertise helps expand care access to patients who otherwise face barriers such as cost or distance.

SCPH is a 59-bed facility which was created as a service district hospital in 1959. It is managed by Ochsner Health. In 2014, a partnership with Ochsner Health established the sharing of best medical practices and the implementation of advanced technology, resulting in improved quality, expanded access to care and reduction in medical costs.

Top ranking and award agencies have honored many of the hospitals featured on the list for their stellar patient outcomes and performance in specialty care services.
