West Monroe native Joins Ochsner LSU for expert family care

MONROE, La. — Ochsner LSU Health is proud to welcome board-certified emergency and family medicine physician Michael Donald, M.D., to its team. Dr. Donald brings a wealth of experience in preventive medicine, chronic disease management and acute care, with a commitment to fostering long-term wellness for patients. 

 

With a strong background in outpatient, inpatient and emergency care, Dr. Donald is adept at managing a wide range of medical conditions and coordinating care across specialties. He remains actively engaged in continuing medical education to stay current with the latest advancements in family and emergency medicine. 

 

Dr. Donald was born and raised in West Monroe. He earned his medical degree in 2020 at LSU Health Shreveport where he also completed his residency in emergency and family medicine. In his final year of residency, he served as chief resident of emergency and family medicine. 

 

Dr. Donald is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families in the Monroe and West Monroe communities. He is seeing primary care patients at Ochsner LSU Health – McMillian, 201 McMillian Road, West Monroe, La.
