A new initiative, spearheaded by the Louisiana Center for Health Equity, is hoping to identify and implement solutions that will help lift the state out of its trailing position. Dubbed LA40by2030, the working group behind the initiative reasons that, starting from the bottom, the state might not make it straight to the top. Instead, the plan is to make it to 40th in the nation by the end of the decade.
