The announcement of a partnership between Ochsner Health and Team Gleason to improve the overall health care experiences for patients living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), along with other neurological conditions, aligns with Ochsner’s recent announcement of the Debra H. and Robert J. Patrick Neuroscience Center.
According to a news release, the center is slated to become a 132,000-square-foot facility near Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans on Jefferson Highway. It was gifted by the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute. Ochsner St. Anne is pleased to announce Gerges Azer, MD, a Pain Management physician has joined the hospital’s medical staff.
Dr. Azer earned his medical doctorate (MD) from Alexandria University, School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida. He completed a regional anesthesia/acute interventional pain fellowship in addition to a chronic pain medicine fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
