Al J. Patin

Vice President, Chief Executive Officer, Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center

Al Patin is Chief Executive Officer for Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center (OLGMC), which is comprised of three separate campuses, multiple medical office buildings, physician clinics and imaging locations. In addition to his CEO role, he serves as senior executive supporting Ochsner Lafayette General’s Critical Access Hospitals, Ochsner St. Martin Hospital and Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. Before being named chief executive officer in March of 2021, Al served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lafayette General Medical Center and prior to 2018, served as Chief Administrative Officer of the LGMD Physician Group with oversight of all physician practice activity. Prior to his executive roles at OLGMC, Al is proud to have spent eight years at Lafayette General Medical Center in various capacities working as a registered nurse, patient care director and service line administrator.

Al holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXVIII, executive council and board member for the regional chamber, One Acadiana, and a current GE Leadership Academy Fellow.

Al has been married to Nicole for 24 years and they have three children, William (18), Elize (16) and CC (16).
