Chief Executive Officer, Ochsner Lafayette General
Patrick W. Gandy, Jr., is the Chief Executive Officer for Ochsner Lafayette General. He joined Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center (Ochsner LGMC) in 1993 and has held multiple senior management positions throughout the system, including Chief Executive Officer of Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center and Executive Vice President of then Lafayette General Health. Prior to that role, Patrick served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ochsner LGMC. He has also been Vice President of Managed Care at Ochsner LGMC and Administrator of Ochsner Lafayette General Surgical Hospital and Ochsner Lafayette General Imaging.
Patrick is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He also serves as a member of the Legislative, Regulatory and Policy Council of the Louisiana Hospital Association, Board member of the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Political Action Committee (HOSPPAC) and served as a Foundation Board Member of South Louisiana Community College.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1991 and an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1999. Patrick is also a Certified Public Account.
Patrick and his wife, Alicia, have been married for 24 years. They have two sons, Patrick III (21) and James Paul (20).
