Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Ochsner Health
Shelley Sullivan Tynan serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. Tynan oversees all legal affairs for the system as well as the medical staff and credentialing functions.
Tynan joined Ochsner in 2006, and throughout her career has successfully grown the legal department, increased the level of expertise and support provided to the organization and taken on increased leadership responsibility, culminating with her being named general counsel in 2017.
Before working at Ochsner, Tynan was employed in the labor and employment section of Jones Walker in New Orleans and served as federal judicial law clerk to Judge Edith Brown Clement in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and then in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Tynan serves on the boards of Stuart Hall School for Boys and Dress for Success.
