Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Names Dr. Lauren Beal Medical Director of Primary Care and Community Clinics – Northwest Louisiana

SHREVEPORT, LA – Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport is proud to announce Dr. Lauren Beal as Primary Care Community Clinics Director for Northwest Louisiana. As part of her new role, Dr. Beal will continue developing a conveniently located network of primary care providers practicing at the highest quality standards, which provide primary care with seamless access to subspecialty and hospital-based care for patients, while enhancing preventive care options and health education. Ensuring the entire Northwest Louisiana primary care community has access to specialized services, she will also provide support and communication to local physicians.

Dr. Beal joined Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport in 2007 and is an LSU Health Science Center – Shreveport graduate and alumna of the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program. She also completed a Faculty Development Fellowship in 2008. Her areas of interest include adolescent care, LGBTQ care, physician wellness and creating new educational opportunities for our residents.
