Ochsner named a Greater New Orleans Top Workplace

NEW ORLEANS - Ochsner Health has earned the Greater New Orleans Top Workplaces award for the ninth consecutive year, ranking as one of just 84 local winners to make the regional list published by The Times-Picayune.

The honor is based entirely on confidential employee feedback collected by Energage, an HR research and technology company with a 19-year history of surveying and celebrating people-first organizations. This local distinction builds on Ochsner's broader workplace milestones, which include ranking 65th on the national USA TODAY Top Workplaces list earlier this year out of more than 42,000 organizations.

"Earning this recognition for nearly a decade is a powerful testament to our team members, who shape everything we do," said Tracey Schiro, executive vice president and chief people and culture officer at Ochsner. "We intentionally create a culture where people can be their best selves, feel valued and empowered to grow. This honor belongs to the more than 40,000 dedicated individuals who show up every day to care for our patients, our communities and one another."

With a legacy of more than 80 years of innovation in healthcare, Ochsner continuously embraces new advancements and dedicated research, resulting in excellent patient care and workplace culture. Ochsner employees have access to professional development resources— career coaching, tuition assistance, partnerships with universities to expand career pathways and digital learning tools—to encourage lifelong learning and professional growth.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

The rankings are a direct outcome of employee responses detailing their workplace experience. They are calculated using component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, that serve as indicators of high performance.

Ochsner is consistently honored for its workplace culture and has received numerous workplace and culture awards, including the 2026 Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces award, 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Health Care, the USA TODAY Top Workplaces award, Top Workplaces for Nursing 2026 honor by Nurse.com, and has Gold-level recognition for Joy in Medicine® by the American Medical Association.
