St. Bernard Parish Hospital Welcomes Kim Zweifler, PhD

CHALMETTE, La.St. Bernard Parish Hospital welcomes psychologist Kim Zweifler, PhD to its team. Dr. Zweifler brings with her more than 20 years of experience in counseling, crisis intervention and research. She is skilled in counseling individuals, couples and families. Her focus at St. Bernard will be counseling and therapy for anxiety, stress-related problems, depression, family and relationship issues, grief and loss and marital issues. 

Dr. Zweifler completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Massachusetts before receiving her master’s in psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology at the same institution, graduating with Honors and completed her fellowship in clinical psychology at the University of South Alabama.

“We are happy to welcome Dr. Zweifler to St. Bernard Parish Hospital. Her expertise in clinical psychology and counseling addresses a critical need in our community and will be a tremendous asset,” said Kim Keene, Chief Executive Officer of St. Bernard Parish Hospital.

“I am looking forward to seeing patients in St. Bernard Parish and helping them through some of life’s challenges,” said Dr. Zweifler. “It is a privilege and an honor to assist those who may be struggling with real-world problems — many of which are very common — that can be addressed with the guidance and support of a psychologist.”
