In continuing efforts to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic, Ochsner Lafayette General is partnering with rural communities to bring opioid response programs like the symposium that took place in Jennings Thursday.
“The whole event is about helping our families to understand it is here, it exists, and it’s escalating,” Karen Wyble with Ochsner Lafayette General said.

According to a news release, the center is slated to become a 132,000-square-foot facility near Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans on Jefferson Highway. Following the grand opening, it will become the only major detached neuroscience facility in the south between Georgia and Texas, and its construction is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
